Gingerbread Maisys

We have loved reading Maisy Mouse books, doing Maisy Mouse art and making a Maisy Mouse book. Today it was time to make some Maisy Mouse gingerbread - yum! Here's the recipe if you would like to make gingerbread at home in the holidays.

St Albans Iceland - using SOLO

What did you see?
Orange ice with lillipops.
There were 3 frozen hands on the picnic table.
I saw normal ice.
I saw green ice.
Ice with dye in it.
Some were like a ball.
Some ice cubes had things frozen in them.
One had action cards in it.

Why do you think it is like that?
It is like that because...
we are learning about water.
some teachers put them there.
maybe Mrs Warren made them to surprise us.
we aren't usually allowed to smash things at school, but we were allowed to smash the ice cubes.
all the coloured ones had dye in them.
the lollipops were in there so we could have lollipops for lunch.
maybe aliens put them there.
the ice came from the sky.
it's winter.
Jack Frost put dye in them.
someone went to Antarctica and brought it back to our school.
it was raining last night and it was so cold that the ice froze in the air.

What do you wonder?
Can you push it and make it slide along?
Is the sky falling apart?
What happened to them?
Will the sun melt the ice?
Will the ice create a giant ice monster truck?
Are we allowed to make some and bring them school?
Would the ice soak into the ground?
did the lollipops melt in the ice? St Albans Meltdown on PhotoPeach
