Absorbency

We used green dye and sugar cubes. We watched what happened. The dye was absorbed into the bottom sugar cube, then in moved up the cube towers. As the cubes became saturated, they became soft and started to crumble.
The paper towel absorbed the dye - we could actually see the dye moving along the paper.
